The below E-mails from dissident Pacifica National Board member Leslie Cagan show that this time Pacifica Management isn't even calling a real meeting, just a conference phone call.

Last week I sent an informational update about various developments on the legal front and within the Pacifica National Board. I followed that with a brief note that the Board members had been informed that a special meeting initially called for September 12
th was now being postponed for one week, to September 19
th.
The present Board “leadership” has called for this special meeting specifically for the purpose of electing new people to the National Board. The plaintiffs in the four different legal actions - including the five “dissident” Board members - are bringing a unified motion to the court to try to get this election cancelled.
In addition, I thought people should know that September 19th date happens to be the second day of Roshashanah, one of the High Holy Days in the Jewish calendar. On top of the utter disregard for those Board members who are Jewish, the selection of this date is a particular insult to Rabbi Aaron Kriegel. Either they selected this date without thinking about the Jewish holidays (would anyone forget that Christmas is at the end of December, or that Easter comes every spring?), or they are purposely picking a date which they know will cut out one of the dissident Board members.
Regardless of the motivation or intent, the September 19th date is unacceptable. While the lawyers for the plaintiffs are working on this issue, along with everything else, I thought the broader Pacifica community should know about this as well.

They have called the Sept. 19th meeting as another conference call...which is another issue we are taking up in the courts. Our belief is that the National Board needs to have an in-person meeting that is open to the public - without having election of new Board members as an agenda item. There are plenty of other things we should be discussing!!
